IDE's
So you want to get started with C++? First you should choose a development environment. Here are a few suggestions:
- Dev-C++
- Borland C++
- C++ Express
- Code::Blocks
- Eclipse (with CDT plugin)
If you have problems choosing a compiler we suggest Code::Blocks (with mingw compiler) because it is cross platform, so anyone can use it, and the quality of mingw compiler i believe is superior to Microsoft's.
The environment we're going to work with in this wiki is Code::Blocks, but ofcourse you can use anything else.
